Pulpally is town located close to Karnataka in Wayanad District of Kerala, India.
The area Pulpally is well known for its Pepper producing farms the area even known as ‘The land of black gold’ (Dried pepper). Currently Pulpally is known for its Milk Producing farms as well.
Seetha devi temple
The only Seetha devi temple in Kerala is situated on Pulpally. People believe that Setha Devi along with her sons Lava & Kusha visited this place.
Pazhassi Raja & Mavilanthodu
Pazhassi Raja was the last ruler in this region who revolted strongly against the British rule after the fall of Tipu Sultan. He waged guerrilla warfare against the British and the dense forests of Wayanad gave him refuge and they later turned out to be the center of his guerrilla war tactics. The British army finally defeated him in 1805 in an encounter at Mavilanthodu near Pulpally.
Kuruva Island
Kuruva Located in the middle of Kabini river and around 10 KM away from Pulpally.
